Short version: it's a dice game, you own your copy, there's no real money in it, and we can't promise it's bug-free.
1. AGREEMENT
These terms apply to the Aleator mobile application ("the App") and this website. By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the App. Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard licensed-application end user license agreement, which applies in addition to these terms.
2. YOUR LICENSE
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules. You may not sell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
3. PURCHASES
The App is free to download. It offers one optional non-consumable in-app purchase that permanently unlocks additional content for the Apple ID that bought it. All payments are processed by Apple — we never handle your payment details.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. If you want one, use reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue, deny, or influence a refund, though we're happy to help with whatever caused the request.
We may change the price of the purchase, or what future versions include, at any time. Anything you have already bought stays unlocked.
4. NO REAL-MONEY GAMBLING
Aleator is a single-player strategy game that simulates casino dice mechanics. It involves no real-money wagering of any kind. In-game chips have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, cannot be cashed out, and cannot be transferred to another person or converted into anything of value inside or outside the App.
Nothing in the App is gambling advice or a prediction of real-world outcomes. Playing it well does not improve your odds in an actual casino, where the house edge remains exactly what it always was.
5. YOUR DATA AND SAVES
The App stores your progress locally on your device. We don't have copies and can't recover them. Deleting the App, resetting the device, or a device failure will lose your saves and statistics. Your purchase, however, is tied to your Apple ID and can always be restored. See the Privacy Policy for what we collect (nothing).
6. NO WARRANTY
The App is provided "as is." We've tested it a great deal, but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or future iOS version, or that any particular bug will be fixed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you actually paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost progress, lost time, or lost data.
8. CHANGES TO THE APP AND THESE TERMS
We may update, change, or discontinue the App or any of its features. We may also update these terms; the effective date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continuing to use the App after that means you accept the revised terms.
9. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
